MISTI connects MIT students and faculty to research and innovation around the world. This year, over 400 students will intern in nine countries through MISTI.
Some examples:
Shirin Kasturia (Brain and Cognitive Science ’10) is researching healthcare technology for elderly and disabled people at Innovaciones SocioSanitarias in Valencia, Spain.
Alyssa Roque (Mechanical Engineering ’11) is developing thermal systems powered by solar energy at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
Ken Lopez (Management ’12) is working on a Braille screen at Tecnologico de Monterrey University in Cordoba, Mexico.
Julian Hernandez (EECS ’09) is developing new iPhone technology at France Telecom in Paris.
J. Fernando Rodriguez (Mechanical Engineering ’10), Kristen Anderson (Aeronautics and Astronautics ’11) and Jason Chan (Materials Science and Engineering ’09) are developing a revolutionary new vehicle that will participate in the $10 million Progressive Automotive X Prize at TTW in Turin, Italy.
